Once again, Carney Sandoe made the match! I can’t wait to start teaching at my new school this fall. I’ve worked with Carney Sandoe throughout my teaching career and have been offered a wealth of opportunities at each stage of the journey. My Placement Associate took the time to understand who I am as a person and a professional and what I was looking for in a school community. Afterwards, she sent me referrals based on that. Along the way, my Placement Associate was available to field questions about the schools and how best to prepare for interviews. I highly recommend Carney Sandoe to teachers both new and experienced. I trust them to continue to offer sound guidance and make the right introductions as my career progresses.

Carney Sandoe has been an instrumental part of my job search as a teacher! The team I worked with (Leslie Ganson and Julia Sinton) were extremely attentive to my interests and helped place me with schools that matched my needs and values. As a new teacher, registering with CS&A was valuable because they worked with me to decide what types of schools I was interested in and coached me through how best to apply to these jobs. The job search and hiring process can be very complicated and confusing, and having someone to guide me through it was essential!
I would highly recommend their services to any young professionals looking to get into the independent school world.

Hi Sloane and Andrea,
I accepted the offer on Sunday! I am so, so pleased, happy, and relieved. Thank you both so very much for everything you did on my behalf and do on teachers' behalves in general. I never would have known about the opportunity if it weren't for you. I wish I could repay you both in some way. I was always confident in both you and Andrea and I always felt that the process, from beginning to end, was smooth and going very well. Dear Devereaux,
I am reaching out to share my incredible experience working with Liam Gluck and Becca Stern the past few months.
I am a graduate student who spent this past year finishing my dissertation and teaching college courses while also looking to make the jump into the independent school world following graduation. As a PhD student, all of my mentors only knew the academic job market, so without the guidance of both Liam and Becca I do not think I would have found a teaching position I am excited about to start my career path into independent schools directly after graduation. I feel really fortunate to have worked with Liam and Becca these past few months, and although I plan to stay at my new position for at least a few years, I know that once I begin another job search my first step will be to sign up with Carney Sandoe again.

Dear Leslie,
I am so happy and excited to start this new adventure in New Jersey. I can't thank you enough for everything you did and your precious help. From day one during our call, you reassured me on the possibility to find a sponsor, and you helped me so much. Also, thanks to the FORUM/DEIB conference in Philadelphia, I was able to meet in person the people from this school and I believe that it made the difference. I connected very well with their representative, and then did all the rounds of interviews. Thank you again for everything.

Dear Mr. McClatchey and Mr. Faubert,
I am writing to let you both know that I could not have been happier with my experience searching for a new English teacher position with Carney Sandoe. In large part, this was due to the care and professionalism exhibited by Liam Gluck and Becca Stern. Both Liam and Becca were there with me every step of the way. If I had a question or wanted a particular school to review my materials, they were on it! The reason, really, why I am all set with a new position for next year as early as this point in April, has everything to do with their dedication and responsiveness.
I truly appreciate that you have outstanding employees like them working for you that made the stressful process of looking for a new position much less stressful. Because of this excellent experience, I will not hesitate to recommend CS&A to friends and colleagues. Thank you again!

Consider this email as an appreciation for letting me be a part of this conference in D.C. Honestly I was little apprehensive about how conferences work, but the way it was organized it is commendable. Thank you for pushing me in each email to attend the conference. I am thankful for the emails and phone calls we had to prepare me. It was indeed the right decision to come. Hi LeeAnn,
The conference was such a great experience for me. I had several memorable connections that were made. I interviewed with each of those schools on my schedule and I also met with a school that was added at the last minute. The meeting was…serendipitous. The school also reached out to follow up with me.
I've attended hiring fairs through public schools but I have never experienced a professional development conference with pre-scheduled interviews for viable candidates, orchestrated with such organization and excellence. It was a great use of both the school's and candidate's time. Thank you again for your insight and guidance.

After graduating, I was unsure of my plans for teaching and ended up settling on looking at private schools in my area in late June, which was very late in the game to be beginning my search as a teacher and when looking at private schools. A friend recommended Carney Sandoe to me after having a great experience with them the year before. I submitted my application and they connected with me almost immediately. I was placed with a woman named LeeAnn Villani and another associate who has since left the group. Both LeeAnn and her partner were incredibly warm, attentive, and responsive. They made sure to thoroughly understand what I was looking for in my search and sent me a large variety of referrals, all within the criteria. They responded in a timely manner every time I reached out to them and answered every single one of my questions with care and in detail.
I expressed my concerns about not finding a job due to starting late multiple times and every time they reassured me and gave me advice. This support was invaluable to me and led to me getting a wonderful position that was exactly what I was looking for. I cannot express enough how important LeeAnn's continued support was. She made what should have been a very stressful experience a positive one.
They have also assured me that they would help me in the future if need be, and I look forward to working with them again! Definitely send in your application if you are on the fence!

Working with LeeAnn Villani while searching for an elementary teaching position was a gift I will always be thankful for. From the outset, LeeAnn was keen to learn about me and understand who I was as a teacher and what I was looking for, so that she could make sure that the schools she was linking me with were a potential fit. And, if they weren't (i.e. my preferences changed), she was quick to adapt and was always happy to offer advice if I had questions. Her commitment to my search never wavered and the support I felt throughout the entire process made me feel like we were truly in it together. I learned a lot more about the schools in the area and my options, and having this connection through CS&A was, I think, invaluable in securing my new role.

I signed up with Carney Sandoe to support my transition to the United States after living abroad for eight years. I was seeking a full-time elementary teaching position. My assigned associate, LeeAnn Villani, went above and beyond to help me find the perfect employment. She met with my husband and me for a video chat and communicated with me weekly. She referred me to over 50 great schools and refined her referrals based on my changing preferences. She also contacted me when schools changed their hiring needs and let me know which schools looked like the perfect fit for my family. She was easy to reach and responded to my emails promptly. Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I am delighted to share with you my positive experience from working with Liam these past months. I rejoined Carney Sandoe as a candidate in December 2021 to search for college prep teaching jobs in the humanities. From the get go, Liam warmly welcomed me into the job search process by personally reaching out to me and chatting on the phone to inquire after my experience and career interests. I felt supported and I felt like I could trust his guidance. His overall personable and kind presence – both by phone and on email – made a positive impact in my search and application process. When we finally met in person at one of Carney Sandoe's conferences, I was grateful to receive his positive encouragement – he was a “cheerleader” for me when I felt most nervous about meeting schools!
Moreover, I appreciated his candid take on the various schools I had applied to. He provided realtime advice on which schools would or would not fit my profile. Thanks to Liam's guidance, I was offered a humanities position at a school – it is an opportunity that both matches my interests and celebrates my talents and skills. I am very happy now!
With that said, I would highly recommend Liam to work with any candidate seeking teaching jobs in the humanities. Liam is a wonderful resource and his personable and kind approach makes it very easy to work with him.

It is with much excitement and gratitude that I write to inform you that this afternoon I accepted an offer to teach Cultural History at the school we’ve been discussing! Outside the classroom, my wife and I will be embarking on the adventure of serving as dorm parents for 7-14 boys or girls in one of the school's house-style dormitories (along with at least one other dorm parent so that we don't have to be on duty all the time). Good morning Mr. McClatchey,
I recently completed a hiring process with the support of Ben Bolte, and I wanted to reach out to you about my experience. I have worked abroad for eight years and recently returned to the U.S. from India, making the tough decision to repatriate ahead of schedule due to the coronavirus situation in India. I had never worked for independent schools in the U.S., so I was very nervous about navigating this new landscape for the first time. From the moment Ben was assigned to me, he was very communicative and adaptable. I had a very long interview scheduled with a school on a Monday afternoon, and Ben made sure to fit me in his schedule before the interview so I could pick his brain and get his feedback and advice. He was so kind, warm, and clearly knowledgeable. He helped me understand more about what a boarding school package should look like, advised me on a few other schools to apply to, and provided insights I would have never learned had I been navigating this process on my own.
I am so grateful to have had Ben's support during this really wild time for me and my family. Knowing he was at the ready should I have needed anything was so empowering. Thank you for all you and your team does for educators. When I am ready to look for jobs stateside again, I'll come right back to Carney, Sandoe & Associates.

Devereaux,
I am writing to share my thanks for the fabulous work of Jonathan Ball. Thanks to his work, I was thrilled to accept an offer at an amazing school as its next Director of Advancement.
This fall, I began to explore a handful of searches, getting to know 3 or 4 recruiters. From the start, Jonathan was warm, enthusiastic, and candid – he stood out as someone who – while always representing his client schools – was also genuinely empathetic to my candidate experience.
As I began to move forward in the process with one school, Jonathan was more than generous with his time, including an hour call on a Saturday afternoon (this, by the way, was in addition to the several cumulative hours that he spent with me for interview prep/debriefing). Honestly, the guy should probably be invoicing me for psychotherapy.
Perhaps what stood out to me the most was when I texted Jonathan to ask for his guidance about interviewing as a finalist at a different school. At that point, I was still quite interested in the school I had been working on with Jonathan and worried about doing anything to undermine my candidacy. He called me within minutes and encouraged me to seek all other opportunities and was gracious enough to wish me good luck for the other job. And I knew he meant it, even though it might mean a delay in the search process he was navigating for the other school.
I just thought you might enjoy hearing how well Jonathan represents Carney Sandoe. He clearly loves what he does, and his EQ, transparency, and clear gift in connecting with people made it an absolute joy to work with him, even when he was telling me things I didn't want to hear. (He rightly predicted I would not beat out the internal candidate at a different school.)
With all good wishes,

From the application to the telephone interview to getting the wonderful job I currently have, Carney, Sandoe & Associates have been the best. They are professional, knowledgeable, attentive, detailed, kind, definitely hard-working without forsaking the fun-loving interactions of each candidate. My friend referred me to Carney, Sandoe and despite a COVID season, I have had an ideal journey with them. They care very much for the next generation of students all around the world.
I have been working specifically with LeeAnn and she is the best recruiter for the primary grades, which have the same expectations of excellence as the top high schools. I asked tons of questions, and she answered each one so quickly—in perfect timing, and with the perfect information I needed to go forward successfully. She has been the best recruiter, supporter, and yes, friend, I could have ever asked for or imagined in my search for where I may serve best. Her advice was excellent and supremely helpful each step of the way with each school, even with some of the top private schools.

CS&A assisted me in my job search over the course of two years. In my first year, I didn't land any positions that I was looking for, but I did reach the final round of a dream job. They then helped me search throughout another school year, and I was able to find an even better position in the exact region of the country that I wanted to move. When the pandemic cancelled their hiring conferences, they switched to a virtual hiring conference where I had the chance to interview with schools across the country in my own home. They have been professional and supportive, even sending gentle reminders when I took a bit too long to respond to interview requests. I only had two years' experience when they took me on, and I'm really grateful for their help. (shoutout to Maddie for always being helpful and responsive!)

Hi Dev and John,
I recently landed a music teaching job with Carney Sandoe's help. I'm writing to offer some kind words about my placement associate, Liam Gluck. A few weeks ago, I received an offer from a school that didn't excite me very much. A few days later, Liam reached out to me and invited me to give him a call. During our 40-minute phone conversation, Liam validated my concerns and offered a fresh perspective on the position; his candor was supportive, and he quelled lots of my anxieties, many of which were be attributed to being in the early stages of my career. He clearly heard me out and framed my thinking in a new way that was free of pressure and discomfort. It felt like I was talking to a friend or someone who had an authentic investment in my well being… and this was only our second phone conversation ever! I wrapped-up the conversation with him and actually felt much better about accepting the job, and on top of that, I felt more optimistic about my capital-c Career more generally.
Many thanks for all the help.

Hi Sloane,
My name is Vahe Oksazian. I Just graduated with a master’s in history, a returning student with 20 plus years of work experience in addition to my degree. I wanted to commend you on the webinar “Navigating a Job Search in a Pandemic Market.” This was extremely helpful; your energy level and positive attitude are both amazing and inspirational, especially given the current circumstances with the pandemic. I’m going to also tell Alex and LeeAnn, my Placement Associates. Although it’s a crazy time and I haven’t received any interview requests, I realize that just having this experience through all the blogs, webinars, interview prep, and demo lesson plans I have come up with have been truly amazing and helpful. Hopefully someone will request an interview with me at some point, but if they don’t, I’m happy to have participated in these instructional tutorials.
Thanks again for all the great advice.

I had an exceptional experience with Carney, Sandoe & Associates. I worked with Alex McLean and LeeAnn Parker to find a great fit in a boarding school. I started my career in education, transitioned into corporate business after completing my M.B.A., and worked with CS&A to career switch back into education. I couldn't have asked for a more helpful, thorough, and expansive experience. I was able to engage and learn about a vast number of schools and it was evident that having the Carney Sandoe brand behind my application was to my advantage. I accepted an AP US History position with a school that fits jut about every one of my preferences and I am excited to get back into the education industry. Thank you Carney Sandoe!

Courtney, I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me. You always sent positions you'd know I'd be interested in, and the CS&A portal has been an excellent experience all round. Throughout my educational career, I have always partnered with CS&A in my job search; it's an outstanding organization that truly supports independent schools and their educators. I would very much recommend CS&A, and have always done to other colleagues.
Hats off to all of you, Courtney. My very best to Jake as well; he was incredibly helpful and supportive this year.

Dear Rice,
I am headed to my new school—it’s exciting and sad all at the same time. On a more personal note, thanks for all the support and work over the past year. (I really can’t believe it’s been a year since we started speaking.) Even though CS&A didn’t actually facilitate this particular role for me, I want you to know that your professionalism, patience, and encouragement was incredible. I am a firm believer in Carney Sandoe. Thanks again!

I am incredibly grateful for the help I've received from Carney, Sandoe, & Associates. My team Alex McLean and LeeAnn Parker found great schools that matched my teaching philosophy. Their dedication towards helping me build my career certainly stands as a testament to what CS&A has to offer. I'll miss working with them as well as the excitement that is associated with looking towards a new start, a new benchmark in my career as an educator. I have happily accepted a job as an English teacher. Again, I can cannot thank Alex and LeeAnn enough for their help. They made the search process far less nerve-wracking than usual. I certainly recommend CS&A to any educator looking for a new role.

Carney, Sandoe & Associates is an ideal job placement agency for candidates with post-graduate degrees looking to make a transition from higher education to secondary schools. CS&A and I worked together to make my background as a university-level teaching assistant marketable to hiring committees for high schools. After soliciting the help of this company, I immediately started interviewing for history teaching positions.

Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I have been a CS&A candidate since 2007 when one of my professors introduced CS&A to his doctoral students as a reputable search firm for independent school positions. For over 12 years now, your firm has helped me successfully and satisfactorily land every position I have pursued thus far. As an international student coming to the U.S. for her post-graduate education, I had never imagined having a successful career in the independent school world. However, your firm opened up a new world to me in which I have not only had a rewarding experience as an educator, I have also been advancing towards my professional aspirations. I am grateful and fortunate that I found CS&A, a competent and well-run organization benefiting both the candidates and schools with whom they work. Every staff member I have interacted with has shown genuine interest in and patience with helping me locate the most suitable positions available. I have consistently been impressed with their warmth, professionalism, and care.
Today I would like to share my special thanks to Scott Roy. Words cannot describe my gratitude for all of the guidance, support, and mentoring he has offered me the past few years as I navigated the independent school world searching for and finding the right opportunities where I could not only bring value to the schools, but also develop a solid resume for my long-term career goals.
I very much appreciate Scott’s approach. He started with asking me targeted questions to evaluate my skill set and experience and to know my aspirations. I believe his approach not only ensures the best candidates for the school, but also bolsters candidates’ confidence through every step of the interview process, which can be daunting and stress-ridden. Scott is also a great listener and has a deep understanding of what kind of guidance I needed to best demonstrate my abilities and advance my career, the kind of abilities people with a high level of cognitive and emotional empathy possess. He mentored me with his expertise, care, and insightful advice. I have never felt even the slightest judgment from him despite the numerous phone conversations and email communications we have had together. The job search process is often a time-consuming and unappealing task people undertake for various reasons. Scott, with his very personable yet focused approach, turned it into a joyful learning journey for me through which I feel I have significantly evolved both professionally and personally.
Last but not least, as a woman in technology, I am particularly grateful that CS&A is committed to supporting women in their pursuit of leadership roles. Scott is definitely a champion of it. It is widely known that often times women doubt their abilities even though they are very capable. As someone who is in the process of developing her leadership skills, I have to admit that I do that too. I feel fortunate that Scott provided me the appropriate scaffolding to help me breakthrough that barrier–perhaps forever!
With sincere gratitude,

Hi Rice,
I’m writing to thank you for your help with my colleague and his recent appointment as a first-time division head. You may recall that I worked closely with him and supported his desire to move into this new role. He let me know how much he appreciated working with you, your candor, your confidentiality, and your follow through. He felt he was treated with respect the entire way. Just wanted to send a reminder that not only are you helping people find the “next step” in their career, but you are doing so in a personal and empathetic manner. Thanks for the guidance and care you provided him.

CS&A was helpful, professional, and timely in their communication. I was having trouble receiving interest from potential employers when I would cold-email their HR department, and used CS&A at a recommendation from a work associate. After an introductory phone call with Beth McArdle (my Placement Associate) and uploading my resume to my CS&A portal, I had gone from receiving about 1 total email communications with hiring schools each week, to receiving 3-4 each day. It was amazing! Beth, who was in charge of my case, did a fantastic job getting word out to schools regarding my candidacy for teaching positions, and would respond to my questions regarding the application process almost instantly. I can't believe this service is free for job-seekers! I have already recommended CS&A's services to friends, and would certainly work with them again. They almost have insider information when it comes to school hirings, and do a fantastic job connecting employers to potential employees. I would give 6 out of 5 stars to Beth and the way CS&A handled my case as a client!

Dear Alex,
Thank you so much!
Honestly the full story of how I came to CS&A is that one day I happened to meet a private school teacher who uses your agency every time he looks for a job. I said I was a substitute teacher trying to get into the private world, and he immediately told me to go to CS&A. He talked all about your international contacts and how it was the way to go. I’d already gotten fed up with trying to apply on my own. I frantically wrote down CS&A's name, and that was it. A few days later I had been emailed by you and LeeAnn and it all worked out. I would never have even heard of Kiski without you. It was meant to be. You are part of a tremendous organization and I cannot thank you enough for your part in things! Keep up the good work, I am so happy right now.

Dear Mr. McClatchey,
My name is Damon Harvey, and I have been a candidate with CS&A this past year searching for a music teacher position. Being in the job search can be challenging, but I'm thrilled with how mine turned out. I was offered a full-time band teaching position (I'm an instrumental specialist) at a great school in Georgia. Their school community and academic philosophy is perfect for me as a teacher and the location is perfect for my family.
Earning this position is a result of CS&A. I'm sincerely thankful for all you do. My Placement Counselor was Liam Gluck, and I was so impressed with his diligence and his care for me as a job seeker. Thanks to his feedback, communication, and regular referrals, I was able to keep my head up during this time. I am a sincere supporter of what you do. In my current role as a graduate teaching assistant, I often find myself telling the undergraduate students and even the faculty about your company and what you offer. It's difficult to believe that you give so much to candidates without charging them any money.
This is actually my second time with CS&A. My first job search, roughly 10 years ago, also concluded with a great outcome. I became the director of music ensembles, and it was my dream job for a starting position. Please accept my sincere thanks!
Again, it's not always fun to be in the job search, but I think teachers are in the best hands when they choose to work with CS&A. No doubt, if it were not for your company, I would still likely be searching right now. I wish you the best of luck in matching great candidates with great schools. I'll continue to recommend Carney, Sandoe & Associates to other job seekers.
Sincerely,
Damon M. Harvey

Mr. McClatchey,
As a former science (and psychology) major who has worked for 21+ years teaching at a test prep company, many years coaching track and field and cross country, and years doing research in my psychology Ph.D. program, I knew I wanted to work in education. However, I had many different skills and a lack of a clear idea of how to advance in the field of education.
Fortunately, I found Carney, Sandoe, & Associates, and even more fortunately, I was assigned to Todd Gochman as my Placement Associate. Todd has worked with me for several years trying to help me find the right position. He has been so personable, listening to my concerns and my desired career path. He has guided me without judgement, simply providing options and suggestions. He has made me feel incredibly comfortable so that I really wanted to make a position happen, not only for me, but also to make him proud.
A couple of years ago, I thought we found that position at a boarding school in England. Still, when that didn't work out, Todd welcomed me back with open arms to help me find another match. He listened to my every concern, even being understanding when I was questioning whether I wanted to even continue a career as a teacher.
At the CS&A hiring FORUM at the NAIS conference, I asked Todd to look out for positions mainly in Los Angeles, but also in San Diego, San Francisco, New York City, and Miami. Todd asked me to meet with some schools in other areas, such as Seattle. I hadn't even considered Seattle, but I trusted Todd. Thus, I was open to meeting with any schools he suggested.
Fast forward to last week when I signed a contract with a fantastic school in Seattle! I really loved my visit with them and enjoyed everyone I met. The contract matched my interests, so I'm now going to be that school’s newest science teacher. I am extremely grateful to Todd for his amazing patience and support in working with me. You truly have a gem in Todd!
Many thanks,

Mr. McClatchey,
I have just finished my job search in North Carolina and I have officially accepted a position. I wanted to reach out because Beth McArdle was so helpful in this process. I felt that she was my friend and she made me feel so comfortable to ask any questions I had. She made time to speak to me on the phone on multiple occasions and calmed me down when I was very stressed out. On Thursday night, I got an opportunity that needed a quick response, and I didn't know what to do. Beth responded to me, even though I emailed after hours, and really helped me to think through my choices.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and I hope to use CS&A again in the future! I will certainly recommend CS&A to all of my friends.

Hello Elizabeth and Katie,
I am happy to report that I accepted a job we discussed teaching first grade. I never thought it would materialize, but it is basically a dream job, and I am super excited! The school wasn’t even on my family’s radar when I was at the FORUM/Boston hiring conference, but I decided to stop by their table and say hello because I have always wanted to move out west to the mountains. Sure enough, I had a great conversation with the head and the process snowballed from there. Thanks a million for all of your insight, advice, referrals, and follow-ups. I really appreciate it and was also given two other excellent offers. However, this school won my heart and ended up being my top choice.

I am writing to express my thanks for the superb service provided by Carney Sandoe, and specifically to praise the Placement Counselor who worked directly with me, Liam Gluck, in placing me at my new school.
I conducted my first search through CS&A when I was a senior in college, and with your help I obtained positions teaching music at independent schools in Houston and in Nashville. This year I faced a new challenge: a family move to Chicago, and no immediate job prospects. Liam remained engaged, communicative, and supportive as I searched and waited. Then, in May, a Chicago school with a late-breaking music position reached out to me thanks to CS&A — it was a terrific fit, and in a few weeks I had accepted their offer to join the faculty.
I have always received excellent service from the associates at Carney Sandoe, and Liam brought some unique strengths this year. The knowledge that a former independent school music teacher was doing music placements was reassuring, and Liam displayed exactly the right type of contextual savvy in all of our interactions. He took the time to get to know my strengths and my priorities, and I felt that I had an advocate throughout the process. His positive attitude and proactive communication skills made me feel valued and supported.
I will certainly continue to recommend Carney Sandoe to friends and colleagues, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that you have facilitated for me.

Clearly, he's a very committed representative of CS&A and I already plan to recommend him to friends and colleagues who would benefit from his placement expertise.
Thank you for maintaining a high quality staff to service candidates, like myself.
Sincerely,

Dear Jamie and Courtney,
Tomorrow I will accept an offer for the position of World Languages Chair at a school on the East Coast. The position, the school, and the faculty are a perfect fit for me.
What amazes me is that after all the searching (since October 2016!), they found me and reached out to me, because of you. Thank you so much for all of your attention, diligence, and patience with me throughout this search, and for all the work you do to match schools and candidates with the right fit.

Dear Devereaux,
I was a candidate with Carney, Sandoe & Associates this year, working specifically with Sloane Meyer. I am emailing to thank you, Sloane, and the rest of the team at your company for your help in my job search.
Thanks to you all, I have recently accepted a fantastic position. When I applied to the same position through another service, my application was lost in the mix of others; however, I was able to get the first interview by applying through your service.
I hope my feedback can help you do as much good for others as you have for me.

Mrs. McLean,

Thanks to Carney, Sandoe & Associates, I found a wonderful opportunity as an apprentice teacher. After graduating from George Washington University, I applied to CS&A and they helped me find my position. I currently co-teach Spanish with my mentor and over the course of the year I have gained hands-on experience in classroom management, lesson planning, curriculum development, and more. My school hired me as a full-time Spanish teacher upon my success as an apprentice. I have to say, this was all made possible by Carney Sandoe. They streamlined the process, provided valuable advice, and were invested in customizing their search to fit my interests and needs. I am happy and love what I am doing! I would use CS&A again and I recommend it to others!

Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I just wanted to write and personally thank you for providing me with such an amazing support as I have been searching for school library positions this current hiring season due to sick family.
My CS&A contact has been Liam Gluck and he has been a constant support to me in locating positions, sending me referrals, and communicating with schools. I have enjoyed working with him immensely and have felt fully supported throughout this process. He always made himself available to answer questions via email or over the phone and I have appreciated his advice and professionalism every step of the way. So much so, that I felt moved to sing his praises via email to you!
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.
All the best,

Dear Ada,
I am writing to thank you for your assistance in my search for employment as a Chinese language teacher. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was accepted for a Chinese language teacher position at Palm Beach Day Academy for the 2017-2018 school year. This employment opportunity would not have been possible without your help in connecting me with the administration there. I really appreciate your willingness and dedication to help wherever needed during the job search process.
I had a wonderful experience working with you and will recommend Carney, Sandoe & Associates to all of my classmates in the M.Ed. program at the University of Oklahoma. You are truly an asset at Carney, Sandoe & Associates and they are lucky to have you as a Placement Associate for Chinese language teachers.

Hi Jamie,
I am still so thrilled to have been offered the position! I signed the contract last week and will start next week. I could not be happier about this opportunity. It's closer to home, better hours, summers off, a significant increase, and most importantly, I get to primarily focus on my practice as a therapist — all great things. I will also be challenging myself in new professional ways by teaching two classes and coaching this spring.
I can't thank you enough, Jamie, for helping me find this opportunity. It really will be life changing for me and my family. And if all goes well, those interviews will be the last interviews I ever go through. I couldn't have done this without your help. My wife and I have had the most positive experiences with CS&A. I will surely refer others to CS&A in the future.
Warmly,

Hi Todd and LeeAnn,
Thank you so much for being a great resource! Before learning about Carney Sandoe, I had very little clue as to how to find a teaching opportunity. One of the schools you sent my materials to has turned out to be a great fit, so I'm excited to tell you that I'm accepting their offer! You have truly helped turn a dream into a reality, and for that I will always be very grateful.

I am beyond excited and want to thank you two for everything you have done for me. For sending me all those referrals, for reading my personal statement, for being so quick to respond to my emails, and for working incredibly hard to host all those conferences! I hope everyone in the office has an incredible summer. Carney Sandoe rocks; I would have never been granted this amazing opportunity without you all.

Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I first heard of Carney, Sandoe, & Associates by word of mouth, and more precisely when I was still working in Italy. Most of my (then) students were adults from US, and they spread the word about this great association that helps teachers find the job best meeting their expectations in America. I therefore applied, and I was given the most detailed and professional interview I have ever had. Eventually I decided to join one of CS&A hiring events in New York, and the only interview I had led to my first job in US. I had been planning to move to US for a while, but I did not want to leave my job in Italy before finding a new one in United States.
Which is why I am spreading the word myself about CS&A, because I would really not be doing what I am doing right now without this one connection. Thank you very much again for your help and your support!
With my best regards

Dear Courtney,
This email is to let you know that I have received and accepted a job offer. Although I did not reach out to this particular institution through Carney, Sandoe & Associates, I cannot begin to tell you how helpful your company has been for my job search. Almost since the moment I uploaded my materials I have been receiving invitations to interview with great schools, and by the time I received the offer I was already at the final stage of two processes; this is a lot considering that I am a nonresident alien and need a sponsor. To sum up, you do your work really well and I would love to join your pool of candidates again some day!

After spending nine years as a school administrator at a world-class international school, it was time for my family and me to make the leap and find another wonderful experience somewhere in the world. As you can imagine, having to give up an amazing job and venture into the world of the unknown is scary. Working with Art Charles and John Chandler was really what got me though the ups and downs of the job search. They were attentive, supportive, and encouraging, but they were also real. They were an advocate when I needed one and people I could call on for advice. My wife and I joked how long it would take them to respond to an email. The answer, over the run of five months, was an average wait time of about 15 minutes before we received a response!
These are knowledgeable professionals who understand the needs of schools and of schools administration. They are kind, compassionate, and have blown me away with their level of service and professionalism. CS&A has made a name for itself internationally and worldwide because they hire people like this. I am very grateful for their time, efforts, and focus on making sure the “fit” was right for me, but for the school as well. They are more than finding a school administrator, they are more focused on finding one that will be happy and one that the school will be happy with in order to create a relationship that will work for an entire school community. I could not be more positive about my experience with them and with CS&A.

I just wanted to send a quick note now that my search has come to an end to say how grateful I am of both Scott and Carney Sandoe. I have been using Carney Sandoe ever since I found out about them close to six years ago now. All throughout that time both Scott and Carney Sandoe have been supportive and full of information about finding a new job.
Finding a new job is never an easy task and can be filled with a lot of stress. Scott has been a class A stress reducer when it comes to job searching. He has always been available to answer my questions. He has consistently followed up with me to make sure that I am doing well with my search. He also does a great job at making sure that I see all my options. I was going for a specific position this time around but I was appreciative that Scott provided a lot of other opportunities simply because getting the position I wanted was not guaranteed.
Overall, I just wanted to send this note to say I am extremely happy to have Scott on my side when it comes to finding a new position. He truly makes a very hard task seem very easy and I know it is because of a lot of hard work on his end.
Thank you both to Carney Sandoe and also to Scott! I now get to look forward to my new position at a great school.
Best,
Joseph LePain

I am currently an assistant principal at an American International School in Venezuela, but I was recently offered a principalship at a private school in the US, in Phoenix, Arizona thanks to the outstanding support of Carney, Sandoe & Associates.
In particular I am writing to express my sincere thanks to John Faubert for his assistance during this process. As a candidate for my first principalship, I knew there would be hurdles along the way, and that some schools would have a hard time hiring a first-time principal. Even so, after several ‘rejections', I do have to admit I was beginning to feel a little unsure of my decision. John took several opportunities to Skype with me to discuss my leadership style and experiences in order to help me find the right fit. His guidance and confidence in my ability to secure a principalship truly kept me going. As I mentioned, he took the time to understand my style, and my strengths, in order to steer me towards schools that would be a good match. In the end, I secured a position at a school that matched my professional philosophy perfectly.
I couldn't have asked for a better support system. I will always be grateful for John's help, encouragement, and understanding over all of these months. From the bottom of my heart, and from my family, thank you!

Hi Elizabeth,
I did obtain a position as a lower school teacher! The most wonderful aspect of the CS&A experience for me involves being matched with a ‘new' position that really is a perfect blend of my past education/experiences and career dreams. I have worked for a good decade as a speech-language pathologist. When I needed to relocate to a different geographic locale, I strongly desired to remain in the independent school setting. The fact that CS&A was able to match me with an independent school in my desired geographic locale that addresses the needs of students with language based learning disabilities (my past experience as a speech-language pathologist) as a lower school teacher (a long held interest of mine) is amazing-serendipitous, really. Whenever anyone, be it someone from the independent school environment or otherwise, asks me how I found this fantastic job opportunity, I never fail to mention the role that CS&A played!
Sincerely,
Jill Champagne

Dear John and Fred,
Thank you both for your emails of congratulations and for all of your support and encouragement throughout the process.
We are excited about our upcoming adventure to Kinshasa and being a part of the TASOK community – I am pleased to have achieved my first headship and really looking forward to the challenges and rewards that comes with such a position.
I first began my career in international teaching using a couple other recruiting firms. When we started looking this time we connected with each of those organizations. (With one we were even required to pay a substantial fee and complete many requirements.) But we didn't feel any personal touch with them. My point here is that my experience with Carney, Sandoe has been above and beyond my expectations, and I am very impressed with your level of service and support. From the moment I was first in contact until now, you have responded to every email in a timely manner, and treated me with care, respect, and helped me along the journey – at the same time doing the same for the school and other candidates. It always felt like you were in my corner. You genuinely and thoroughly took the time to get to know me as a candidate through my application, Skype interview, detailed reference checks and in email. I can't thank you enough, and will definitely recommend you to colleagues and schools – and look forward to working together again with Carney Sandoe in the future. The other organizations don't even come close to the sophisticated level of communication and support.
Take care, and will be in touch

I cannot speak more highly of Carney Sandoe – which I heard about through another success story – and am convinced I could not have found such a perfect school without Leslie and Maddie and your whole team. In fact, without Leslie's heroic efforts in making sure I sat down with the hiring folks at my new school at CS&A's Washington DC hiring conference, I don't believe they would ever have been on my radar. I interviewed for a middle school position they had open, and we all fell in love with each other! They ended up offering me a position in their upper school – 9th grade world history, Technology, and AP Psychology.
Thanks to Maddie, Leslie and the entire team for all of your hard work and effort – I clearly could not have done it without you!
All my best and I hope you have a great summer.
Cheers,
Prudence Munkittrick

While abroad, I created a free basic profile with [CS&A], which includes a statement of your teaching philosophy, a resume, and letters of recommendation. The agency also asks that you indicate locations around the world in which you are willing to teach, and what your areas of interest and expertise are.
Shortly after, Carney Sandoe & Associates began sending my documents to schools within my area of interest, and I only had to follow up with cover letters. Between the months of January and May, the agency sent my documents to something like thirty schools, and at the beginning of May I was offered (and will accept) a Spanish teaching position with a college preparatory school called Oakwood School in Morgan Hill, California.
For students interested in teaching children and adolescents, I strongly recommend using Carney Sandoe & Associates. The agency sends its members' resumes to schools often before the positions becomes public, giving them a bit of an edge over other applicants.

I'm writing to let you know that I received a wonderful offer on Friday from a school in Atlanta, and I'll be accepting that position (officially) tomorrow!
I'm writing to celebrate that news with you and to express my gratitude for your extraordinary help along the way.
So thank you again! It's clear to me now–even more than before–that you're both involved in something truly great, something with the power to really change and improve people's lives. I feel very fortunate to have met you both. I know where to go now and where to send others.

Will – First of all, thank you so so so much for all your help in my job search process. I have accepted the offer, and I'm really excited about this. I really couldn't have done this without you, especially for the LA Forum – speaking to you before all the interviews (my first teaching position interviews ever!) really helped me get my head straight and made me perform well that day. Those interviews led to the school visit interviews, and even to this offer!

Hello Courtney,
It is crunch time and I have made a decision: I will be taking the job! I am about to send them a message and a signed contract. Thank you so much for being a sounding board in the process and offering me your advice. And thanks – of course – for finding me the job! I very much appreciate it. CS&A has once again proven a wonderfully efficient way to find a job while living in Europe.

Dear Beth,
I just wanted to reach out and thank you for being such a pleasure to work with. You previously said it would be OK for me to work with other firms as well. So, I tried working with a smaller, more regional firm. Let's just say it wasn't nearly the positive experience I've had with CS&A. I walked away with a newfound appreciation for you and your firm, and the very kind, honest, and friendly approach you have when dealing with me. It's clear from your tone and choice of words in your e-mails and phone conversations that you really do care about me and the candidates you work with. You have taken the time to listen to what I want and you believe in what I have to offer, and you've made me feel genuinely hopeful I will be placed in the right school. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Audrey Enriquez

Hi Courtney,
I thought the conference was really great and productive. Everything was so organized and well run. I very much enjoyed my school interviews. I also really enjoyed meeting the other candidates during the breaks between interviews. It was very helpful for me to speak with them and hear their own stories and how they got into teaching. There were people at all points of their careers, either at the beginning or more experienced, so it was great to hear their opinions and perspectives.
Thanks so much,
Nathalie Bragadir

On Friday I was offered the English position. I accepted the position yesterday.
Thanks for everything! Some smaller agencies I met with were quick to say that Carney Sandoe was “too big and impersonal” to help me find a placement, yet 75% of my interviews (and my new job) came from you guys!
Sincerely,
Austin Murphy

Hi Ben,
I just wanted to send you an update that I've accepted that position. I will be an associate director of admission with my focus being on working with international markets.
I am tremendously excited for this position and it actually came down to choosing between this and another great school. It was tough, but I'm very excited about my next step.
Thank you so much! You have always been great to work with and I appreciate your help very much.
I'll be sure to reconnect if I ever decide to make another career move but I foresee myself being very happy for quite a while!

Hi Ben,
I have accepted the position as Director of Enrollment Management. My contract begins on June 1st and I couldn't be more excited! Thank you so much for all of your help. It was most certainly a long road but well worth finding what I believe will be a great match. Without your referrals I…would have missed out on this amazing opportunity. Thank you again for your patience and help finding a great school for me. I am incredibly grateful.

I am a teacher and career-changer who recently found a position
through Carney Sandoe. I wanted to say what a positive experience I have had
working with Todd Gochman.
The thing that strikes me most and is a unifying theme for Todd has been his professionalism. He has been prompt in his communications with me, from the beginning. He got back to me quickly after I initially contacted Carney. He gave me personal attention in interviewing me. He worked to match me with the opportunities that were best-suited to my personal goals and to create a fit between myself and the school. Along the way he has provided me consistently with information and I have had knowledge of where I stand and what steps I need to take. When I have had questions Todd has provided me with thoughtful and insightful replies. He understands the industry and I benefited from that.
Todd has also been adept at adapting and seeing possibilities; for example, I had mentioned in an email that I was traveling from New York to Los Angeles to interview at a school. Todd was in contact with a different school in the L.A. area that had a need in my academic area, and he arranged for me to meet an administrator from that school. That brief interview led to a later full-day interview, and the position which I have now accepted. I'm grateful for Todd's ability to think on his feet combined with his awareness of the marketplace.
Needless to say I am a satisfied customer. Thank you for your company's efforts and to Todd for his consistent quality work.
Sincerely,
Brook Wiers
