The Top Teacher Appreciation Week Deals for 2019
It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers are among that handful of professions in which people simply don't get enough love. And while every day should be a day to show teachers just how important and valued they are, this week some restaurants and other businesses are offering special deals and discounts.
On Tuesday, May 7, which is official Teacher Appreciation Day or National Teachers Day, many businesses will be showing teachers some extra love with additional promos and discounts.
We've gathered some of the top freebies and offers so educators can take full advantage of these special treats. (Note that some require you to have the restaurant app or to sign up for emails. A school ID my be required at some locations. Offers may also vary by location, so calling ahead is advised.)
Arby's: Some locations are giving teachers and school administrators with ID a free sandwich on Tuesday.
Bonobos: Bonobos has great-fitting pants, shirts, and suits for men. Teachers get 20% off with verification.
Bruegger’s Bagels: Bruegger’s is offering teachers a free medium coffee with any purchase from May 6-10. You’ll need to sign up for Bruegger’s Bagels Inner Circle to get the deal, but you’ll get a free bagel and cream cheese for signing up.
Chipotle: Teachers, faculty, and other school staff with a valid school ID can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one free offer from 3 p.m. to close on Tuesday. The deal is on burritos, bowls, salads, and tacos for in-restaurant dining only. Learn more at www.chipotle.com/teachers.
Cicis: Teachers and school staff get a free adult buffet on Tuesday with a valid school ID and a coupon.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Pay just $2.00 for a small specialty drink on Tuesday. It's like they know how much teachers need caffeine.
Costco: Costco is offering teachers more than $60 in savings when they sign up online for a new Costco membership. You will be asked to fill out an online form with your school email address and upload a verification document. Twenty minutes later, your savings certificate will be in your inbox.
Crayola.com: Crayola is offering 15% off the entire website from 10 a.m. on May 6 to 10 a.m. on May 13. Use promo code THANKYOU for the discount.
Giordano’s: From Monday through Thursday, Giordano’s is offering 20% off any order with the code 656-263-214. The offer is dine-in and online and for both nurses and teachers.
McDonald’s: Many McDonald’s locations offer tasty celebrations for Teacher Appreciation Week. Some locations are offering a free six-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, and some are offering a premium coffee drink freebie. Check your local McDonald’s for exact participation.
McAlister’s Deli: Teachers get a free McAlister’s Deli Sweet Tea during Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday through Friday, with a valid school ID.
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes: Teachers can text TEACH to 97455 and get a coupon for a free burger with purchase of fries and a drink or shake to redeem on Wednesday. A school ID must be presented at ordering for this dine-in offer.
PDQ: Teachers get 50% off their entire order with a valid ID on Tuesday.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop: All teachers get a buy-one-get-one offer Monday through Sunday, May 12.
Roy Rogers Restaurants: Teachers with a valid teacher ID get a free milkshake or dessert with any purchase Monday through Friday.
Salata Salad Kitchen: Teachers get a buy-one-get-one free offer Friday, May 10, on salads and wraps when they show their valid school ID.
Sonic Drive-In: This Teacher Appreciation Month deal is for teachers and “those who appreciate them as much as Sonic does,” the fast-food chain says. From Tuesday through May 31, get a free Route 44 drink or slush with purchase when ordering on the restaurant’s app with promo code TEACHERS. Download the app at www.sonicdrivein.com/app.
BONUS: Tuesday, May 14 is Häagen-Dazs’ Free Cone Day which is just after Teacher Appreciation Week. You don’t have to be a teacher to take advantage of the deal, which you can learn more about here.
