FORUM/DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) is a hiring conference and a professional development symposium for members of, allies of, and those who are learning how to better support underserved communities.

As a CS&A candidate, you are invited to attend FORUM/DEIB, the largest combined independent school hiring and DEIB professional development event.

What is FORUM/DEIB?

Formerly known as FORUM/Diversity, its mission is twofold: To help build strong, diverse, and inclusive school communities by facilitating exceptional interviewing and hiring opportunities and to provide learning and resources to improve and enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in independent schools.

Why should I attend?

It’s simple: FORUM/DEIB provides real, outstanding job opportunities at schools that are committed to embracing equity and inclusion and creating welcoming communities.

Interview candidly with multiple schools. Discover unique schools you never knew about. Strategize about your job search with your Placement Associate. Get your foot in the door at the start of the hiring season. Attend impactful and actionable workshops. Begin or enhance your journey in DEIB work. Network with fellow educators.

And, registration is free for current active CS&A candidates.

How does the hiring portion work?

Interviews take place back-to-back every 30 minutes throughout the duration of the days. Although some interviews are scheduled on-site, most are scheduled by schools before the event — so register early!

As a registered candidate, you gain access to the Conference Module where you can view the list of all attending schools and their open positions, and you can message schools letting them know you are interested in interviewing with them.

Who can attend FORUM/DEIB?

We recognize that diversity includes but is not limited to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, gender identity, age, social class, opinion, and religion. All CS&A candidates are welcome to participate in FORUM/DEIB.

What if I have questions?

Your Placement Associate is your personal resource for any questions you have related to attending FORUM/DEIB, so don't hesitate to reach out. If you're on the fence or can't decide if this is the right event for you, we're just a phone call or an email away to talk things through with you.

How do I register?

Let's break it down:

• If you are an active Carney Sandoe candidate, you can register for free in CandidateConnect — select the Conferences tab in the top navigation to get started.
• If you have partnered with Carney Sandoe in the past for your job search but haven't worked with us recently and would like to reopen your job search, log into your CandidateConnect account to update your profile and change your search status in the About Me box to “Actively Looking.” Then, send your Placement Associate a message indicating your interest in attending.
• If you are brand new to Carney Sandoe and have never used our job search service before, complete this form and our team will get back to you.
