My personal gratitude for your guidance, patience, expertise, and professionalism at every turn of our Search and Transition is difficult to put in to words. I couldn’t have done it without you. For that and so many other things, we at SAS (and especially the Search Committee) are so indebted to you. Our successful search began with CS&A, but it was working with you that really made it happen. I am sure you sensed that the stakes couldn’t have been higher, and we hit the ball out of the park thanks to you.

I have worked with many recruiters in other sectors over the years, and I’ve never encountered anyone who puts so much care into his client’s future and well-being as Bob. He visited our campus on multiple occasions, spent dozens of hours in conversation with every facet of our community, and became deeply invested in our success. He advised us not only on our search process, but on our vision and strategy. He became part of our team. It is no exaggeration to expect that, in 10 years, FAIS may look back and see Bob’s role in our head's hire as pivotal in our school’s evolution.

I cannot thank you enough for guiding, prodding, and leading us through the search process. You delivered a strong group of candidates for our consideration. You brought your wisdom and experience to bear at critical stages in the process (“interview more, not less”), and acceding to your arm-twisting served us well. You were always available when we sought your counsel, and you were patient and supportive throughout. On behalf of the Search Committee, thank you for all that you did to help us land the right candidate to be the next Saint Mary’s Head of School.

I was very pleased with the follow up we received from Jennifer and her team in the search for a new Director of College Counselling. Jennifer proved to be highly professional and also took care of coaching our candidates to keep them encouraged so we could reach our final choice. Jennifer and team were very knowledgeable on the candidates presented to us. Many thanks for the help in general. I want again to express my profound and sincere thanks for all you have done throughout the search, Ben. For me, there was a special bond that developed among us. When we first met, you may recall that I emphasized we were looking for true partners in the search. That is exactly what we got. You were also an adviser, guide, cheerleader, traveler from remote places, and realist. Your patience inspired me, and you put up with the many demands I placed on you. You educated me about a world that was largely unfamiliar to me. You guided us to a successful conclusion. I would like to thank you for your friendship and all that you have done.

We appreciate all you’ve done to support SAS over the last several years whether through executive search efforts or providing advice and counsel to the Board of Trustees, me, and others. SAS has good momentum heading in positive directions.

Things are going great around All Saints and I wanted to once again tell you, Bob, thanks for being a big part of making that happen. Members of the search committee and I were in a meeting today and talking about how beneficial you were to encourage us to look at someone who wasn’t on our radar, and then keep him on board during the process until we could get to the finish line. We will be forever grateful for your wisdom and guidance.

We were absolutely privileged to have Bob Regan as part of our search team. We had the difficult task of replacing a “legacy” President who had been with the school for over four decades. Our search committee was well-intentioned but we needed someone who could ensure we sourced and screened the absolute best candidates for our position. Bob helped us review and evaluate the local candidates and encouraged us to honestly compare them against the national candidates who were interested in our President role. He professionally challenged us when we were heading “off the rails” and he consistently asked us to “trust the process” which would render and secure the best possible candidate for our role. Bob sized up the characteristics of each search committee member and was able to relate to each member of the team. He was an invaluable partner and, by the end, a beloved part of our St. Joe’s “family.” We owe him big time! He is an incredible partner for any search you may consider.

Bob Windham and Bill Christ did an excellent job for Trinity School of Midland in conducting the Head of School search. They represented the School well, identified and helped recruit several strong candidates, and gave good advice to the Search Committee all throughout the process.
