Scott Roy
What is your favorite memory from school?
Going to the state baseball championships and losing. The community celebrated as if we won and it gave me a new perspective on coping with defeat.
What do you like most about working at CS&A?
All of my colleagues have their own special strengths that they contribute to the team to make us successful.
What cheers you up?
Seeing a moose in Maine.
Scott graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. and from Boston University with a M.S. in computer science. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
Scott worked as Senior Systems Engineer and IT Group Manager at UniFirst Corporation from 1996-1999. He was the Manager, Consulting Services, at Welsh Consulting in Boston from 1999-2000. Scott joined Carney, Sandoe & Associates as Managing Associate, Director of Technology in 2000. He has been the Chief Technology Officer since 2012. Scott also works as a Placement Associate and a Search Consultant and recruits computer science teachers and technology directors for independent schools.
Scott is a five-year volunteer for grade 5 mathematics at Renaissance Charter School in Boston, MA. He is a mentor for students enrolled in Trinity Education for Excellence Program (TEEP), and a former Big Brother in the Boston, MA, chapter.
