Taylor Stockdale is a Senior Consultant in our Search & Consulting Group.
Previous Experience
Taylor was the Head of Schools at The Webb Schools (Claremont, CA) from 2010-2023. In his role, Taylor revitalized the curriculum and overall educational program, deepened the school’s stature and reputation, and amassed four successful campaigns, the most recent being the $200 Million Centennial Campaign. From 1988-2005, Taylor served in a myriad of roles at Webb, including Assistant Head of Schools, Director of Institutional Advancement, AP Economics teacher, and head of student life and residential programs. Early in his career, he taught Latin, algebra, history, and American government at Rumsey Hall School in Connecticut.
As a volunteer, Taylor has served on the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) board, the CAIS board, and the boards of two independent schools: St. Mark’s Episcopal School (CA) and South Kent School (CT), his alma mater. Taylor has also been very involved in CASE, chairing the CASE-NAIS conference in 2003, and as a faculty member at the CASE District VII Annual Conference and several CASE Summer Institutes. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the World Leading Schools Foundation and is President of the US WLSA Foundation.
Education & Interests
Taylor received a B.A. in history/political science from Colorado College and his M.A. in economics from the University of Delaware, where he completed extensive courses in education and curriculum development. Additionally, he holds a certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from The Drucker Center for Executive Management at Claremont Graduate University.
